Your restaurant brand should show up beyond the sign
A restaurant or café brand is not only the logo on the storefront. It shows up on staff shirts, aprons, drinkware, pickup packaging, pop-up displays, catering boxes, jars, bottles, and the small details customers take with them.
Same day DTF transfers and UV transfers make those details easier to produce. DTF transfers help with staff apparel and event shirts. UV transfers help with cups, tumblers, jars, acrylic signs, packaging, bottles, and smooth hard goods.
DIY Printz helps Broward County restaurants, cafés, print shops, clothing brands, screen printers, embroidery shops, and DIY customers get fast transfer production with local pickup options. We focus on DTF transfers and UV transfers and are open until 9pm Monday through Friday for customers who need support after normal business hours.
Use DTF transfers for staff apparel and event shirts
DTF transfers are full-color heat press transfers for apparel. For restaurants and cafés, they are useful when you need staff shirts, pop-up shirts, promo tees, catering uniforms, back-of-house shirts, or limited event apparel without setting up screens.
- Staff shirts: Create branded tees, polos, hoodies, or aprons for daily use.
- Pop-up events: Make shirts for markets, food truck events, festivals, and weekend promos.
- Seasonal drops: Launch limited merch for holidays, drink specials, anniversaries, or local events.
- Small runs: Print the quantity you need without overcommitting to large inventory.
- Multiple placements: Use one gang sheet for front logos, sleeve hits, back prints, and neck labels.
If your artwork is ready, order Same Day DTF Transfers. If you have several separate files and want a faster layout path, use the Same Day DTF Transfers Auto Gang Sheet Builder.

Use UV transfers for cups, jars, packaging, and displays
UV transfers are peel-and-stick style UV DTF decals for smooth hard surfaces. They do not require a heat press and can give cups, jars, packaging, acrylic, and product displays a more polished branded look than a basic sticker.
They are ideal for glass, metal, acrylic, coated plastic, sealed wood, tumblers, water bottles, jars, product boxes, and packaging. They are not for fabric or garments, so apparel should be handled with DTF transfers instead.
- Drinkware: Brand tumblers, glass cups, water bottles, and reusable cups.
- Packaging: Add branded decals to takeout boxes, product boxes, bakery boxes, and bags.
- Jars and bottles: Decorate sauce jars, coffee bottles, tea bottles, dessert jars, and sample containers.
- Acrylic displays: Add branding to tabletop signs, counter displays, QR display stands, and menu feature displays.
- Retail items: Create branded hard goods for cafés, pop-ups, and local merch shelves.
For hard goods, upload your print-ready file through UV Transfers Upload UV Sticker Gang Sheet.
Build a simple restaurant merch bundle
The easiest way to plan a restaurant or café order is to build a bundle around one campaign. That campaign could be a grand opening, seasonal drink launch, anniversary, catering push, staff refresh, market booth, or pop-up event.
- Staff refresh bundle: DTF staff shirts, aprons, and sleeve logos.
- Drink launch bundle: UV cup decals, bottle decals, and DTF promo shirts.
- Pop-up bundle: Event shirts, UV packaging decals, and acrylic display decals.
- Retail shelf bundle: Branded jars, product boxes, tumblers, and limited merch shirts.
- Catering bundle: DTF polos or tees plus UV decals for boxes, bags, and bottles.
This keeps the order focused and makes it easier to measure what worked. If the drink launch sells out, you can reorder the winning apparel transfers or UV decals without rebuilding the whole project.
How to prepare DTF artwork for restaurant apparel
DTF orders move fastest when the file is print-ready. For same day production, the artwork should already be sized, spaced, and arranged on the gang sheet before checkout.
- Use PNG with a transparent background or a clean print-ready PDF.
- Build artwork at 300 DPI at the final print size.
- Leave about 0.35 inches between designs for trimming.
- Do not mirror the artwork unless a reversed print is specifically needed.
- Convert text to outlines or paths before uploading vector files.
- Group placements by workflow: left chest, sleeve, back print, apron print, and neck labels.
- Match the canvas size to the sheet size being ordered.
DIY Printz DTF gang sheets use a 22-inch fixed width. If your project needs a custom length, use Custom Same Day DTF Gang Sheet By The Inch.
How to prepare UV artwork for restaurant hard goods
For UV transfers, measure the item first. A decal for a 16-ounce glass cup will not automatically fit a jar, tumbler, acrylic sign, or box. Build each decal at the exact final size and combine all designs into one UV sticker gang sheet.
- Use 300 DPI at the final print dimensions.
- Use transparent backgrounds whenever possible.
- Use vector artwork or clean PNG files.
- Convert text to outlines or paths before submitting vector files.
- Do not submit mirrored artwork unless it is intentionally reversed.
- Leave clean spacing between decals for trimming.
- Group decals by item type: cups, jars, packaging, bottles, acrylic, and display pieces.
Application tips for restaurant and café items
For DTF apparel, pre-press the garment for 3 to 5 seconds to remove moisture, use the recommended time, temperature, and pressure, peel according to the transfer instructions, and finish press with a cover sheet when recommended.
For UV transfers, clean the hard surface with rubbing alcohol and a lint-free cloth, let it dry fully, pre-squeegee the decal, peel the white backing slowly, apply carefully, squeegee from the center outward, peel the clear carrier slowly, and let the item cure for 24 to 48 hours before heavy handling or washing.
For mugs, tumblers, jars, and bottles, hand-washing is recommended for the longest life. Avoid soaking, harsh scrubbing, high heat, and strong detergents over the decal.
Order locally when the deadline is real
Restaurant and café deadlines are often tight. A staff refresh, event, catering order, or launch weekend can appear fast, and waiting days for transfers can slow the whole project down.
