Everything you need to know about ordering custom DTF and UV transfers from DIY Printz.
What are DTF transfers?
DTF (Direct to Film) transfers are full-color prints on a special film that you heat press onto garments, bags, hats, and more. They work on cotton, polyester, blends, and even hard surfaces. No weeding required — just heat press and you're done.
What are UV DTF transfers?
UV DTF transfers are sticker-like transfers that can be applied to hard surfaces like tumblers, phone cases, wood, metal, glass, and more — no heat press needed. Just peel, stick, and you're done. They produce vibrant, full-color results with a glossy finish.
How do I apply DTF transfers?
Place the transfer on your garment, press with a heat press at 300°F–325°F for 10–15 seconds with medium pressure. Peel warm or cold (depending on the transfer type). For best results, do a finishing press for 5 seconds after peeling. Full instructions are included with every order.
What file format do you need for my design?
We accept PNG files with a transparent background for the best results. We also accept JPG, PDF, SVG, and AI files. For gang sheets, upload your designs through our gang sheet builder. Higher resolution artwork (300 DPI) produces the best print quality.

How fast is your turnaround time?
Most DTF transfer orders are produced same day if placed before our 1 PM EST cutoff (Monday–Friday). Orders placed after cutoff or on weekends are produced the next business day. Custom apparel orders may take additional production time depending on complexity and quantity.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! We offer free shipping on orders over $80. Orders ship via UPS Ground from our facility in Davie, Florida. Delivery times vary by location — most orders within Florida arrive in 1–2 business days, and nationwide delivery is typically 2–5 business days.
Can I pick up my order locally?
Yes! Local pickup is available at our Davie, FL location. Same-day pickup is available for orders placed before cutoff. You'll receive a notification when your order is ready.

How durable are DTF transfers after washing?
DTF transfers are very durable when applied correctly. For best results, wash garments inside out in cold water, use mild detergent, and tumble dry on low or hang dry. Avoid bleach and high heat drying. Properly applied transfers can last 50+ washes without cracking or fading.
What fabrics work with DTF transfers?
DTF transfers work on virtually any fabric — cotton, polyester, poly-cotton blends, nylon, denim, leather, and more. They also work on light and dark garments without needing separate transfer types. This versatility is one of the biggest advantages of DTF over other printing methods.
Do you offer custom apparel printing?
