What are sublimation blanks?
Sublimation blanks are unprinted products with a polymer coating that allows sublimation ink to bond permanently into the surface when heat is applied. They include items like tumblers, mugs, metal signs, mouse pads, puzzles, ornaments, phone cases, and polyester apparel. The coating is what makes sublimation printing produce vibrant, durable, full-color results.
What equipment do I need to sublimate on blanks?
At minimum, you need a sublimation printer (such as an Epson EcoTank converted for sublimation or a Sawgrass printer), sublimation ink, sublimation paper, and a heat press appropriate for the product type. Mugs require a mug press or convection oven, flat items use a flat press, and tumblers use a tumbler press or shrink wrap with a convection oven.
What types of sublimation blanks does DIY Printz carry?
We carry a wide range including drinkware (tumblers, mugs, water bottles, sippy cups), metal blanks (license plates, signs, key chains, dog tags, ornaments), fabric blanks (mouse pads, puzzles, tote bags, pillow covers), and apparel blanks (polyester shirts, socks). Our inventory is growing regularly.
Can I sublimate on any blank product?
No. Sublimation only works on products with a polymer coating or high polyester content. It does not work on uncoated metals, plain cotton, glass without coating, or dark-colored surfaces. All blanks sold by DIY Printz are specifically designed and coated for sublimation printing.

Are your blanks pre-coated for sublimation?
Yes. Every sublimation blank we sell comes pre-coated with a polymer layer that is ready for sublimation printing. You do not need to apply any additional coating before pressing.
What drinkware blanks do you offer?
We carry sublimation-ready tumblers (20oz, 30oz, 40oz), coffee mugs (11oz, 15oz), water bottles, sippy cups, and other coated drinkware. All are designed for vibrant, dishwasher-safe sublimation results when pressed correctly.
What metal and hard surface blanks do you carry?
Our hard surface blanks include aluminum license plates, metal signs, key chains, dog tags, ornaments, and coasters. All feature a white polymer coating optimized for sublimation ink adhesion and color vibrancy.
Do you sell sublimation apparel blanks?
Yes. We carry polyester t-shirts, performance wear, and sublimation-ready socks. For apparel sublimation, the fabric must be high-polyester content (ideally 100% polyester or at least 65%+) and light-colored for the best color results.

Is there a minimum order for sublimation blanks?
No minimums. You can order a single blank or buy in larger quantities. Whether you need one tumbler to test or a case of 50, every order is welcome.

Do you ship sublimation blanks nationwide?
Yes. We ship all sublimation blanks via UPS Ground from Davie, Florida. Most Florida deliveries arrive in 1–2 business days. Nationwide delivery is typically 2–5 business days. Free shipping on orders over $250.
Can I pick up blanks at your shop?
Yes. Local pickup is available at 5051 S SR-7, Unit 505, Davie, FL 33314, right next to the Seminole Hard Rock Guitar Hotel. We are open Monday–Friday 9 AM to 9 PM and Saturday 11 AM to 3 PM.
