Stainless, glass & ceramic
Peel the clear film slowly at a sharp, low angle, then let it set for 24 hours.
On curved tumblers, start in the center and burnish outward so the film follows the curve without bubbles.
Smooth glass surfaces
Peel the clear film slowly at a sharp, low angle, then let it set for 24 hours.
Make sure the glass is completely dry. Any moisture under the film can cause cloudy spots.
Coated & smooth plastics
Peel the clear film slowly at a sharp, low angle, then let it set for 24 hours.
Remove any protective film from acrylic first. Very soft or textured plastics may not hold well.
Finished wood, boxes & labels
Peel the clear film slowly at a sharp, low angle, then let it set for 24 hours.
Raw wood is too porous. Use sealed or finished wood, and test on porous packaging first.
Wipe the surface with rubbing alcohol and let it dry completely.
Peel off the white backing paper to expose the sticky side of the design.
Place the design on the surface and press it down lightly from the center out.
Rub the whole design with a squeegee or card, firmly, for about 30 seconds.
Slowly peel the clear film back at a sharp, low angle. If the design lifts, lay it down and burnish again.
Give the adhesive 24 hours to fully set before washing or heavy handling.
UV DTF is not for fabric
UV DTF is made for hard surfaces. For shirts, hoodies and bags, use our DTF transfers with a heat press.
Edges lifting?
Clean again with alcohol, burnish every edge firmly, and peel the clear film slower and lower. Textured surfaces may not hold.

How to apply UV DTF transfers and keep them looking new.
1. Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol and let it dry. 2. Peel off the white backing paper. 3. Place the design and press it down. 4. Burnish firmly with a squeegee for about 30 seconds. 5. Slowly peel the clear film away at a sharp angle. 6. Let it set for 24 hours.
Most often the surface wasn't fully clean, or the design wasn't burnished long enough. Clean with alcohol, burnish firmly over every edge, and peel the clear film slowly and low. Textured or uncoated surfaces may not hold well.
For the longest life we recommend hand washing. Wait 24 hours after applying before you wash, and avoid harsh scrubbing on the edges.
Keep them flat in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and leave the backing on until you're ready to apply.
