This listing is for customers who already have a print-ready gang sheet and want it produced as Glitter DTF Transfers for a sparkle finish that stands out on apparel.

If you’re a graphic designer, apparel decorator, or DTF printer with your layout already sized and ready to print, this is the fastest way to order: upload your completed gang sheet and we’ll print it on our glitter DTF film so it’s press-ready.

Why choose Glitter DTF

  • Eye-catching sparkle finish for premium designs (great for seasonal/holiday, kidswear, spirit wear, and bold branding)
  • No weeding, no layering press like standard DTF, with a glitter look
  • Clean workflow: glitter effect is contained in the transfer, not loose glitter

Upload requirements (important)

  • Upload a print-ready gang sheet (we print exactly what you submit)
  • Match your file size to the sheet size you’re ordering (commonly 22" wide for gang sheets)
  • Use high-resolution artwork for best detail (especially for small text and thin lines)
  • Keep important elements away from edges (safe margins)

Best for

  • Designers who already built a finished gang sheet
  • DTF printers outsourcing glitter jobs or overflow
  • Decorators offering a paid “sparkle upgrade” without messy glitter handling

Accurate Sizing (Print at Final Dimensions)

Build your artwork at the exact size you want it printed. Do not rely on scaling after upload resizing can reduce sharpness and alter layout.

Do not submit mirrored artwork unless you specifically need a reversed print. Mirrored files can cause output errors and incorrect orientation during production.

Minimum Resolution: 300 DPI (at Actual Print Size)

For crisp edges and clean detail, artwork must be 300 DPI at the final print dimensions. Lower resolution files may appear blurry, pixelated, or soft once printed and pressed.

Preferred File Types

For the most accurate print results, submit:

  • Vector files (best for logos and sharp text)
  • PDF
  • PNG (transparent background)

These formats preserve quality and reduce the risk of unwanted artifacts.

File Preparation & Handling

Combine All Elements Into One Print File

If your design includes multiple imported graphics, merge them into a single, properly arranged file to ensure consistent spacing and continuous printing—especially for gang sheets.

Use Transparent Backgrounds (No Solid Blocks Unless Intended)

Keep backgrounds transparent whenever possible for a cleaner final application. Avoid placing artwork on a colored canvas or adding a background layer unless you want that background printed.

Convert All Text to Outlines/Paths

Convert fonts to outlines (paths/curves) before submitting. This prevents font substitution, missing characters, and layout shifts, ensuring your design prints exactly as intended.

DTF Transfer Application & Care Guide (Direct-to-Film Gang Sheets)

Before You Press

  • Trim the transfer first. Using scissors, cut away any color registration strips and order/ID markings around the artwork. If left on, these extra markings can heat-bond to the garment.
  • Preheat the garment (3–5 seconds). This removes moisture and helps the transfer bond more evenly. Let the fabric cool briefly before placing the transfer.

Positioning the Transfer

  • Place the transfer on the garment with the white side down and the image facing up.
  • Ensure the transfer is flat and properly aligned before pressing.

Press Settings (Recommended)

  • Temperature: 300°F
  • Time: 10 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium (firm, even pressure)

Consistent temperature, time, and pressure are key to long-lasting adhesion especially on cotton and cotton blends.

Peel Options

Choose the peel method that matches your film type and preference:

  • Hot Peel: Peel the film immediately after opening the heat press.
  • Cold Peel: Allow the film to cool for about 60 seconds, then peel.

Finishing Press (Strongly Recommended)

  • Cover the design with parchment paper (or a Teflon sheet, butcher paper, or tissue paper).
  • Press again for 5 seconds using the same temperature and pressure.
  • This step improves durability, wash resistance, and finish.

If the Transfer Doesn’t Release Cleanly

If the film doesn’t peel off completely:

  • Lay the film back down in place, press again for a few seconds, then peel again (hot or cold depending on your method).

Glitter DTF transfers are Direct-to-Film transfers printed on a glitter-finish film that gives your design an eye-catching sparkle once heat pressed onto apparel without using loose glitter.

You’ll need:

  • A heat press (recommended over a household iron)
  • Parchment paper or Teflon sheet
  • Scissors or a cutter to trim the transfer
  • A flat, firm pressing surface (avoid uneven boards)

Below are reliable starting settings. Always preheat the garment 3–5 seconds, press on a firm, level surface, and use even pressure.

Cotton

  • Temp: 300°F
  • Time: 10 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium / firm
  • Peel: Hot peel or cold peel (based on film)

Polyester

  • Temp: 280–290°F
  • Time: 10–12 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium
  • Peel: Cold peel preferred (reduces risk of dye migration)

Spandex (and stretch blends)

  • Temp: 285–295°F
  • Time: 10–12 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium (avoid over-compressing stretch fabric)
  • Peel: Cold peel preferred

Nylon

  • Temp: 260–275°F
  • Time: 10–15 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium-firm
  • Peel: Cold peel recommended
  • Important: Nylon can be challenging—use a test press first.

Denim

  • Temp: 300°F
  • Time: 12–15 seconds
  • Pressure: Firm
  • Peel: Hot or cold peel (based on film)

Tip: Use a pressing pillow or pad to level seams if needed.

Finishing Press (ALL materials)

Cover with parchment/Teflon and press 5 seconds at the same temperature using medium pressure.

Hot peel: Peel immediately after pressing. Faster workflow.

Cold peel: Let cool about 60 seconds before peeling. Often gives a cleaner release, especially on polyester, stretch fabrics, and nylon.

Common causes:

  • Not enough pressure
  • Pressing too short or too cool
  • Press surface not flat (seams, zippers, collars)
  • Skipping the preheat or finishing press

Fix: Repress with the film in place for a few seconds and peel again.

DIY Printz strongly recommends a heat press. Irons don’t provide consistent temperature or pressure, which can cause lifting, cracking, or poor durability.

Yes. Trim off any extra film edges and remove any registration strips or order/ID markings. Anything left around the artwork can bond to the garment.

DTF works well on cotton, polyester, blends, denim, and many performance fabrics. For tricky materials like nylon, testing a small area first is the smartest move.

  • Turn inside out
  • Machine wash cold
  • No bleach, no fabric softener
  • Tumble dry low or hang dry
  • Avoid dry cleaning
  • Do not iron directly on the design

Store transfers flat, in a cool, dry place, away from humidity and direct sunlight. Avoid bending or rolling tightly to prevent creasing.
