Youth DTF Transfer

Transfer Size: 8 × 11.85 in.

Recommended for youth apparel. Due to the amount of detail and halftone work in this design, the artwork will not be reduced below 8 inches wide.

Adult XS–L DTF Transfer

Transfer Size: 11 × 16.3 in.

A balanced size designed for most Adult XS through Large shirts, hoodies and compatible garments.

Adult XL–3XL DTF Transfer

Transfer Size: 13 × 19.26 in.

Recommended for Adult XL through 3XL garments when you want a larger, more proportional finished print.

Designed With Intentional Halftones

The open areas, small dots and distressed sections throughout this artwork are intentional parts of the design. They are not missing ink, damaged artwork or printing defects.

Halftones allow portions of the garment color to show through the artwork, helping create the distressed, dimensional horror appearance seen in the product preview.

Tip: Because the garment color becomes part of the finished appearance, your shirt or hoodie color can noticeably change the overall look of the design.

Professionally Printed DTF Transfers

When you select one of the physical DTF transfer options, DIY Printz professionally prints the artwork and ships or prepares it as a ready-to-press transfer. No cutting, weeding or artwork preparation is required.

Simply select the transfer size that best matches the garment you plan to decorate.

Same-Day Production: Eligible DTF transfer orders placed by 5 PM ET are available for same-day local pickup in Davie, Florida with no rush fee. Same-day shipping cutoff is 1 PM ET.

How to press your DTF transfers

Every DIY Printz transfer arrives printed, powdered, cured and cut — ready to press. Choose your fabric for the exact settings, then follow the steps.

Peel
Hot or cold

Finishing press: cover with parchment and press 5 sec at 300°F.

Hot peel right away for a faster workflow, or let it cool about 60 seconds for a cold peel — follow the peel type printed on your order.

Finishing press: cover with parchment and press 5 sec at the same temperature.

Lower heat on polyester. Too much heat can pull garment dye into the transfer (dye migration). Cold peel reduces that risk.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Pre-press

Press the blank garment 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles. Let it cool briefly.

  2. 02

    Position

Place the transfer white side down, image facing up. Make sure it's flat and aligned.

  3. 03

    Press

Press using the temperature, time and pressure for your fabric above.

  4. 04

    Peel

Peel smooth and steady — hot right away or cold after about 60 seconds, based on fabric and film.

  5. 05

    Finish

Cover with parchment, Teflon or butcher paper and press 5 more seconds for durability.

Film didn't release clean?

Lay the film back down in place, press again for a few seconds, then peel again. Use a heat press — household irons can't hold consistent heat or pressure.

Wash & care

  • Wait 24 hrs to wash
  • Turn inside out
  • Machine wash cold
  • No bleach or softener
  • Tumble dry low or hang
  • Don't iron the design

Settings are reliable starting points. Heat presses vary — always test on a scrap or hidden area first, especially on performance or specialty fabrics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about press-ready DTF transfers, sizing, pressing and care.

Press Ready Transfers

Ordering & Sizing

What you get with a printed, ready-to-press DTF transfer from DIY Printz.

What do I receive?

A professionally printed DTF transfer — printed, powdered, cured and already cut — ready to heat press onto your garment. No trimming, weeding or artwork prep needed.

Which transfer size should I order?

Choose the size that matches your garment: Youth for youth apparel, Adult S–L for most adult small through large shirts and hoodies, and Adult XL–3XL for a larger, more proportional print on bigger garments.

Why does the artwork have dots and open areas?

Halftones and distressed areas are intentional parts of the design. Portions of the garment color show through to create the finished look — so your shirt color will change the overall appearance.

Pressing

Application & Care

Get a clean, long-lasting press every time.

What fabrics can I press on?

DTF works on cotton, polyester, blends, denim and many performance fabrics. Use 300°F for 10 seconds on cotton and 280–290°F for 10–12 seconds on polyester. For specialty fabrics like nylon, test a small area first.

Hot peel or cold peel?

Cotton can be peeled hot (immediately) or cold (after about 60 seconds). On polyester, a cold peel is preferred to reduce the risk of dye migration.

Can I use a household iron?

We strongly recommend a heat press. Irons don't hold consistent temperature or pressure, which can cause lifting, cracking or poor durability.

What if the film doesn't peel off cleanly?

Lay the film back down in place, press again for a few seconds, then peel again.

How should I store my transfers?

Store transfers flat in a cool, dry place away from humidity and direct sunlight. Avoid bending or rolling them tightly.

When can I wash the garment?

Wait 24 hours before the first wash. Turn the garment inside out, machine wash cold, skip bleach and fabric softener, and tumble dry low or hang dry.
